This tribute page is dedicated to the memory of Geraldine Patterson who is much loved and missed by her family and friends.
After her sudden death from a heart attack in 2011, and the loss of several other family members and friends to chest, heart and stroke illnesses, we wanted to fundraise in her memory to support the vital work of Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke to help raise awareness of these conditions and care for those suffering from these devastating illnesses in our community.
A simple car boot sale back in 2013 has grown over the last 11 years to become our annual Dungannon Friends of CHS Hooley at the Lough Festival each May, so far raising over £50,000 for this cause so close to our hearts. This is all down to the unwavering support shown to us by the people of Dungannon and the entire Mid-Ulster area. Our huge heartfelt thanks to everyone who has donated their time and supported us over the years and we have no doubt that Geraldine will be looking down on us and bursting with pride to know that this event is held annually in her memory.

Thoughts
We are so very grateful to Sean and the Dungannon Friends of NICHS for their support over the years. To raise more than £50,000 for our charity is a tremendous achievement and we would like to thank everyone involved for their dedication and efforts, as well as the public who have always donated so generously.
Today, as many as one in three of the population here are living with a chest, heart or stroke condition and like Sean’s, so many families across Northern Ireland are sadly impacted. Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke is here to help however, through our life-changing care and prevention services and research projects. Almost 90% of our income comes from public donations so fundraising efforts like Sean’s and Dungannon Friends of NICHS are vital for our charity and what we can achieve.
The Hooley at the Lough is always a fantastic weekend and we wish Sean and all those involved the very best. We would encourage everyone to come along and enjoy the fun.
